Directors Wanted

HappyFeet Legends is presently looking to hire a director for many markets across the country. This director will operate soccer training programs to be presented at various preschool.

We are currently accepting resumes and cover letters for a director capable of running our program, while managing and training numerous personnel. The director will receive comprehensive training from the owner and the HappyFeet corporate personnel necessary to market, coach, and manage the program. This position involves management, sales, hiring/training and coaching requirements. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and a knack for working with people. The program and hours can be flexible to personal schedules. However, this position is best suited for energetic and active individuals that enjoy working with children ages 2-6, and capable of working at least 40 hours per week. While this program is firmly entrenched in fun for the children, it is also steeped in technical skills for these very young players.


The primary functions of this position are to develop, sell, and coach HappyFeet soccer programs at preschools and daycares in whatever market the work. The director will also be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with new/existing schools, hire and train additional coaches, organizing schedules for schools and coaches, and promoting the goals and missions of HappyFeet Legends.


Initial Program Planning

  • Complete all training in both coaching techniques and marketing to childcare centers and/or preschools
  • Recruit coaches for the program
  • Train all coaches in “HappyFeet” techniques for teaching children
  • Organize program plan for marketing to pre-school and childcare centers.

Initial Marketing of Programs

  • Develop listing of all childcare centers and preschool facilities in area.
  • Visit each childcare center to meet with the directors and share HappyFeet program information. Schedule free demo HappyFeet sessions and free classes with each childcare center to promote the program.
  • Run sessions with new coaches while watching and participating in sessions
  • Start organizing class schedules for each center.
  • Organize work schedules for coaches to cover all HappyFeet classes

Program Development

  • Set goals for recruiting new facilities
  • Set goals for recruiting new coaches
  • Set goals for recruiting participants in leagues
  • Visit sites to evaluate quality of coaches performing at various facilities
  • Organize ongoing training programs for coaches within the program

Supervisory Roles

  • The Director will be responsible for managing the franchise's HappyFeet coaching staff. This will include training, scheduling, performance reviews, and leading team development meetings.
  • Plan new program offerings and seasonal HappyFeet leagues. Coordinate locations, dates, participants, and coaches for all classes and leagues.
  • Oversee accurate record keeping of all programs and attendance. Analyze participation numbers to determine appropriate marketing efforts for each location.
  • Continuously update program offerings and registration information on the HappyFeet Legends website.
  • Ensure participant payments are delivered to the billing coordinator for processing.


  • Increase visibility of HappyFeet Legends programs (classes, leagues, and camps) via printed flyer distribution, email newsletters, website updates, social media, and free soccer sessions.


  • Experience in planning and supervising child development programs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational skills: able to manage city-wide programs and coaches
  • Able to lead and motivate staff
  • Passion for soccer and child/youth development
